MRI Thursday
We just wanted to remind everyone that Caleb has an MRI tomorrow at 9:00 in the morning. We have to be there at 8:00 to prepare him for sedation. Please keep us in your prayers. We told him for the 1st time tonight about his "special spot" in his brain. He handled it well; we are grateful. We told him that we're taking him to the Pancake Pantry right after they take some pictures of his brain. He was excited- we hope that excitement carries him through tomorrow morning since he won't be able to eat anything before the MRI.
We will keep you posted; however we won't have results of the scan until next Wednesday the 2nd.
In Christ, Austin and Nicole
"And this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail, they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness!" Lam. 3:21-22

The 4 of us!
Here we are on the 4th of July- our 1st family picture! It has been a whirlwind the past 9 weeks! We are loving our new baby girl and feel so very blessed to have two precious children. As many of you know, Annelise has not been a very good eater (directly opposite of Caleb- ha!). It has been a huge stresser. I've almost lost my milk twice, and we fed her from a bottle for a week so that we could literally watch how much milk she was drinking. We've rented scales to monitor her weight gain for the past 4 weeks. She has been gaining weight despite her eating- I really don't know how sometimes. However, overall she is doing better, praise the Lord!!! She definitely still has her feedings and her days that are not great, but we are pleased at her progress. I am still giving her a bottle once or twice a day. She drinks more that way because the milk flows easier from a bottle - she's a lazy eater!!!
On a different note we want to let you know that Caleb has another MRI on Thursday, August 27th. It's been one year since his last one! We are getting a little anxious because we've decided to tell Caleb about his tumor for the 1st time. He is older now and very much aware. We would love your prayers for our conversation with him- that it goes well, that he will not be anxious but have peace, and that we will receive good news!

Annelise is one week old here!
These days we are enjoying making Annelise smile, and she has started to coo for us too! Dad even got her to laugh the other night! We are eating her up!!!

Wow does she look just like Caleb!! We can't believe it!! This picture looks almost identical to Caleb's birth announcement picture.
This picture holds a precious memory for Austin and me that we won't ever forget! Caleb saw Annelise on the floor one morning, and he realized that Annelise needed something to love on. He said, " I will share my monkey! She can love on him!" He laid down beside her and snuggled his monkey up close to her. We couldn't believe he was willing to share his most precious monkey with her. Wow! What a lesson to me on being a cheerful giver of the things that I hold dear in my life.
Caleb has really amazed us with his love and care for "Baby Sister." He sings to her, talks to her, kisses her and is always concerned about her. He even read her a book the other day- she watched him and smiled! We have been amazed at his transition and thank so many of you who have prayed this specific prayer for him.
I've loved watching Austin and Caleb's bond grow even stronger during the past 9 weeks. Caleb absolutely loves his daddy and has a hard time letting him go to work each morning. He wants one more hug each day before he leaves, and sometimes he even has to run out to catch Daddy in his car before he drives away to get it. It is precious and reminds me of my daddy and me- I use to do the same thing!
Here's the "famous diver" with my mom and dad. (Caleb named himself this! Ha!) He's been loving the water this summer with Mimi and Grandaddy and Austin. My parents took Caleb one night a week for several weeks after Annelise was born. It was a lifesaver for me, and Caleb loved every minute of being with his grandparents and uncles and aunts in Nashville. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Meghan came in town from London again- Yea!! She got to meet Annelise for the 1st time, and like always I enjoyed our rich conversations. Can't wait to see you again at Christmas- and Chris too!!!!! Many hugs!
Our dear friends Kevin and Virginia Moore came in town to visit in July. They have just moved with their new son from California to Louisville, KY in June. We are so happy to have them just three hours away!! We enjoyed meeting their precious Jack. Here we are at a cookout with them.
On Mommy's shoulder is where Annelise likes it best!
Here she is nine weeks old - we can't believe it! There are so many more precious pictures to see...click here to see more!
Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us and who will be praying for Caleb's upcoming MRI- it means more than you know.
